DRAWING & PAINTING – OFFICIAL RULES
Department: Fine Arts
1. Event Overview
Drawing & Painting celebrates the essence of कला, संस्कृती, आणि वारसा.
Participants must create original works inspired by Indian heritage, culture, spiritual themes, folklore, classical arts, or socially relevant Indian value-based narratives.
2. Eligibility & Entry Fee
Students from Class 8 to PG (age 14–28)
Must have valid student ID
Entry Fee: ₹50 per participant
Only one artwork per participant
3. Event Timeline
College Round: 4th Jan 2026 - 10th Jan 2026
(ABVP volunteers will visit each college to collect entries)
Submission Deadline: On the same day of College round
Screening & Evaluation: 10th–20th January 2026 (jury review)
Winner Announcement: 23rd January 2026 at Prize Distribution Ceremony
4. Theme Guidelines
Entries must revolve around:
Indian cultural heritage
Folk traditions
Classical arts
Indian festivals, rituals, community life
Spirituality / Bharatiya Darshan
Social issues presented through an Indian cultural lens
⚠️ No anti-national, vulgar, political or culturally disrespectful content allowed.
5. Artwork Rules
Allowed Mediums
Watercolor
Acrylic
Oil paints
Poster colors
Pencil sketching / charcoal
Mixed media (non-digital)
Size
Maximum A2 (420 × 594 mm)
Minimum A3 allowed
Must be submitted FLAT (not rolled)
Not Allowed
Digital painting
Printed material
Collage using photos
Tracing, carbon paper, stencil work
AI-generated elements
Plagiarism or copying famous artworks
6. Originality Requirements
Artwork must be entirely created by the participant
Must be unpublished, not submitted anywhere before
Jury may question artist about concept; unclear explanation → disqualification
7. Submission Instructions (Mandatory)
Every participant must submit:
On the BACK of the artwork:
Registration ID
Full Name
College Name
Phone Number
Event: Drawing & Painting
⚠️ No name, signature, watermark, logo, or identifying mark on the FRONT of the artwork.
Packaging
Use a simple folder or hardboard
No frames, no glass, no mounts
Use masking tape—not staplers or pins
8. Judging Criteria (Kalamahotsav Standard)
Theme Interpretation: 30%
Technique & Skill: 25%
Originality: 25%
Visual Impact: 20%
Jury will consist of 3–5 fine arts professionals.
9. Disqualification Rules
Immediate disqualification for:
Copied artwork
Printed/digital elements
Tracing or stencils
Multiple entries
Offensive or disrespectful content
Not following size or medium requirements
Missing registration details
Evidence of AI involvement
