RANGOLI COMPETITION - OFFICIAL RULES

REGISTRATION FEES : ₹50
A. Participation Rules
Format: Individual or Team
One entry per participant/team
College ID mandatory for entry
B. Design Rules
Rangoli must fit within Given area — exceeding dimensions leads to penalty or disqualification
No pre-drawn outlines, stencils, chalk grid, printed tracing sheets, or projectors allowed
Sketching the base outline using chalk provided by organizers only
No prior prepared cut-outs, moulds, or wooden frames
Design must be original and created on the spot
Theme must reflect cultural, spiritual, or artistic values of Bharat
C. Materials Rules
Organizers will not provide any material.
Participants must bring their own powder colours.
Participants are allowed to bring (optional):
Sieve/mesh
Small bowls
Brushes for fine finishing
Newspaper for floor cleanliness
Colored rice
Flowers/petals
Strictly NOT allowed:
✘ Glitter powder
✘ Chemical adhesives
✘ Permanent markers
✘ Sketch pens or acrylic paints
✘ Artificial decorations, stones, beads, mirrors
✘ Spray bottles / water spray
✘ Mobile reference usage during competition
(Phones must be kept in the designated box once the 90-minute timer starts)
D. Timing Rules
Reporting Time: will be informed
Material Allocation: will be informed
Competition Start: will be informed
Duration: 90 minutes (strict)
Stop immediately when time is called — continued work = disqualification
JUDGING CRITERIA
Judges will score on the following:

| Visual Impact & Neatness | 20% |
Tie-break rule: Higher score in Theme Interpretation wins.
Judges’ decision is final.
DOCUMENTATION & VERIFICATION
Photographs will be taken for official records
Participants must stand with their Rangoli for ID verification
Any form of plagiarism will lead to permanent disqualification from Kalamahotsav
CLEANING POLICY
Participants must clear their area after evaluation
Waste materials should be disposed only in designated bins
Non-compliance will lead to penalties for college score tally
