Description: Classic team-based tug of war contest with eight players per side, testing strength, coordination, and teamwork in a high-energy competitive format.

Eligibility Criteria
Participants: UG / PG students
Category: Boys / Girls
Age Limit: 13 – 24 years
Team Composition:
Playing Members: 8 players
Substitutes: 1 player
Entries per College: As per availability
Competition Format
Matches played as Best of 3 pulls
Team winning 2 pulls wins the match
Progression Rule: Winner advances to next round
Fixture schedule will be updated before the event
Rules & Regulations (Important)
8 players per team on the rope
Weight categories apply as per event norms
First team to pull the centre red mark past their 4 m white mark wins the pull
No time limit per pull
Maximum 2 minutes rest between pulls
If no movement after warning, final 30-second countdown applied
Anchor (last player) may loop rope around body
Only chalk/magnesium allowed on hands (no sticky substances)
Discipline & Disqualification
No deliberate sitting or lying down (except anchor)
No intentional rope release or dangerous grip
No locking rope under armpits
Yellow card: Warning
Second yellow: Loss of that pull
Disqualification for violent conduct, repeated fouls, or weight violations
Equipment Rules
Sports shoes or boots only (no metal spikes or cleats)
Proper team uniform compulsory
Anchor may wear a support belt
No jewellery, watches, or hard objects allowed

Ground setup with markings
Tug of war rope and centre markings
Referees and judges
Scoreboard / scoresheet
Drinking water
First-aid facility
What Participants Must Bring
Sports shoes or boots (non-metal sole)
Proper team uniform
College ID card (original)
Chalk (if required)
Personal essentials (water bottle, towel, spare clothes)

Registration Mode: Online

Registration Fee: ₹200 per team

Winner (1st): Prize + Certificates
Runner-Up (2nd): Prize + Certificates
Third Place: If applicable
Participation Certificates: Provided to teams that play at least one match
Important Instructions
Teams must report 15–20 minutes before scheduled match time
Late reporting may result in walkover or disqualification
Carry original college ID for verification
Follow referee commands strictly (“Pick up rope”, “Take the strain”, “Pull”, “Halt”)
No mobile phones or electronic devices allowed near the play area
Use of banned substances or unfair practices will lead to strict action
