Event Overview

  • Event Type: Athletics (Outdoor)

  • Description: Individual 200m sprint race conducted on a standard track, combining speed, curve-running ability, and finishing strength.

Event Schedule & Venue

  • Event Dates: Between 4 January 2026 – 10 January 2026

  • Venue: Designated Ground / Track

  • Reporting Time: To be announced

  • Race Start Time: To be announced

  • Race Duration: Time taken to complete one race

  • Format: Knockout (Heats → Finals)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Participants: UG / PG students

  • Category: Boys / Girls / Open

  • Age Limit: 13 – 24 years

  • Participation Type: Individual (1 athlete)

  • Entries per College: As per availability

Competition Format

  • 200m sprint on a standard 400m oval track (straight or curve-based as applicable)

  • Number of heats depends on total participation

  • Qualification Rule: Top 3 athletes from each heat advance

  • Fixture and heat details will be announced on the event day

Rules & Regulations (Important)

  • Athletes must remain in their assigned lanes throughout the race

  • Zero false-start rule: Any movement after “Set” results in immediate disqualification

  • Winner is decided by first athlete crossing the finish line

  • Final positions and timings decided by photo-finish, if required

  • Lane infringement, obstruction, or impeding another runner will lead to disqualification

  • Referee and photo-finish judge decisions are final

Equipment Rules

  • Maximum spike length: 7 mm (pyramid or conical only)

  • Bib number (front & back): Mandatory

  • No headphones, mobile phones, or electronic devices allowed

What Organizers Will Provide

  • Standard track setup and markings

  • Referees and officials

  • Drinking water

  • First-aid facility

What Participants Must Bring

  • Proper sports uniform

  • Athletic shoes/spikes as per rules

  • College ID card (original)

  • Personal essentials (water bottle, towel, spare clothes if needed)

Registration Details

  • Registration Mode: Online

  • Last Date to Register: 1 January 2026

  • Registration Fee: ₹100 per participant

Prizes & Certificates

  • Winner (1st): Prize + Certificate

  • Runner-Up (2nd): Prize + Certificate

  • Third Place: If applicable

  • Participation Certificates: Provided to all athletes who compete in at least one heat

Important Instructions

  • Report 15–20 minutes before the scheduled heat

  • Late reporting may result in disqualification

  • Carry original college ID for verification

  • No jewellery, watches, or prohibited items allowed during the race

  • Follow officials’ instructions at all times

  • Doping or use of banned substances will result in strict disciplinary action
